Dani Raba is pushing for a run of games at Valencia, aiming to build on a timely recall as a high‑stakes trip to Real Oviedo looms on Sunday.

According to Superdeporte, Valencia return to the Carlos Tartiere for the first LaLiga meeting there since 2001, a reunion loaded with importance for both sides.

The Asturians are bottom and view this as one of their last chances to keep belief in survival. Taking three points against Valencia looks vital.

For the Mestalla club, beating a direct rival could extend their buffer from danger and edge them towards the European spots, while the immediate focus remains sealing safety.

Oviedo have 18 points from three wins, nine draws and 15 defeats. Their last league victory came on 31 January against Girona, 3-2 at the Carlos Tartiere, followed by draws with Real Sociedad, 3-3, and Espanyol.

Valencia are 12th on 32 points after three wins in their last four, against Levante, Osasuna and Alavés.

The winger was considered for a winter exit after only 252 LaLiga minutes and two starts under Carlos Corberán, and he had not featured since 7 December against Sevilla, even missing squads versus Getafe and Real Betis.

He chose to stay despite interest and was handed a chance last Sunday against Deportivo Alavés, delivering a solid display. He now hopes to kick on, with Oviedo among the clubs who approached him in January. His impact could add an extra edge out wide, increase competition and, if momentum holds, help Valencia secure safety quickly before seeing how high they can climb.
