Daniel Farke says Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a doubt for Leeds United’s FA Cup quarter-final at West Ham on Sunday after a hamstring issue, while Anton Stach is expected to be available despite a recent hip problem.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the Leeds head coach said Calvert-Lewin stopped training after feeling his hamstring, missed the next session, and was sent for a precautionary scan. He hopes the striker can rejoin training on Saturday, but availability will be assessed closer to kick-off.

Farke added that Stach skipped a session this week with hip discomfort but has since returned to work and should be fine for the trip.

Before the international break, Noah Okafor’s return from a hamstring problem left Leeds with a clean bill of health for Brentford, with Gabriel Gudmundsson the only absentee through suspension.

He was among 12 Leeds players on international duty after serving a one-match ban for a second yellow in the 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.

There were minor concerns for Okafor and Dan James. Okafor was an unused substitute against Germany after reports of a warm-up knock, while James, recently back from a hamstring tendon injury, scored and played 84 minutes in Wales’ penalty loss to Bosnia. Craig Bellamy said he wanted James to play the full 120 minutes, but cramps prevented it and checks were carried out.

Calvert-Lewin featured as a second-half substitute in England’s friendly with Uruguay, then was among eight players who left the squad before facing Japan.
