Daniel Farke has omitted Largie Ramazani from Leeds United’s squad for their United States tour, casting fresh doubt on the winger’s future.

According to Superdeporte, Ramazani is not in Farke’s plans for pre-season, still less for the campaign, and it appears he will have to find a new club, with a return to Mestalla on his mind.

Valencia are in no rush, and are waiting for the English club to lower their demands for the Belgian. Ramazani is keen to go back to a place where he felt happy. He made 31 appearances last season, scoring six goals and supplying two assists.

His importance in Carlos Coberán’s set-up grew markedly in the second half of the season. After a quieter start, his pace and threat in the final third helped secure key points towards survival.

This omission could yet pave the way for a reunion that suits all parties. Even so, the saga may run, since those in England are unlikely to make his exit easy.
