Daniel Farke has been shortlisted for April’s Premier League Manager of the Month after a surge that pulled Leeds United towards safety and included a first Old Trafford league win since 1981.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the seven-man list also features Pep Guardiola, Arne Slot, Andoni Iraola and Fabian Hurzeler, plus relegation rivals Nuno Espirito Santo and Vitor Pereira.
Leeds beat Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford, then Wolves 3-0, before a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth. The sequence delivered seven points from nine and lifted them to 40.
Farke said on Thursday that recent performances show desire, and that his team must stay respectful and focused with 12 points still to fight for. He noted one more win would ease pressure, with early points preferable.
Voting is open until 12pm on Monday, 4 May, with public votes combined with a panel of experts to determine the winner.
Leeds could add Player of the Month too, with Noah Okafor nominated after both goals at Old Trafford and a goal plus an assist in the 3-0 win at Wolves.
Victory over Burnley on Friday would take Leeds to 43 points, a total that has never led to relegation in a 20-team Premier League.
Burnley visit under interim boss Mike Jackson after Scott Parker’s departure on Thursday. They were relegated following last week’s 1-0 home loss to Manchester City and have won just four league games.
