Darlaston Town sack Exodus Geoghegan after 13-0 defeat | OneFootball

Darlaston Town have parted company with manager Exodus Geoghegan following a 13-0 final-day defeat that capped a miserable end to their season.

The club said in a statement that, after a difficult run of results, a change of direction was in the best interests of Darlaston, adding thanks for Geoghegan’s efforts and wishing him well.

Geoghegan was appointed on February 18 and lost his first match 9-1 at Clithero, the start of 13 successive defeats that ended with Saturday’s 13-0 reverse at second-placed Avro.

Darlo were relegated after finishing rock bottom of Northern One West and will return to the Midland League.

The club will now begin the search for a new manager to lead that step back.
