And the return leg at the Etihad Stadium sees the Magpies take on Pep Guardiola's men on Wednesday, 4th February. Should Arsenal beat Crystal Palace in their quarter-final next week, Eddie Howe's side will kick-off against City at 8pm GMT - but if Palace prevail and beat the Gunners, Eddie Howe's side will get under way at 8:15pm GMT.

That decisive encounter will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

United - who are in their third semi-final in the competition in the space of four years - are looking to retain the trophy they won at Wembley in March, having seen off Bradford City, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham in earlier rounds this term.
