David Raya given improved contract | OneFootball

Goalkeeper David Raya has reportedly agreed a new and improved contract with Arsenal.

According to Sami Mokbel of BBC Sport, the Spaniard has penned a new deal that sees his wage improved while the length of contract – with three years remaining on it – stays the same. However, there is an option to extend for a further season.

Raya initially joined Arsenal on loan from Brentford for the 2023/24 season with the North London side paying £3 million for the deal before a further £27 million to complete the purchase.

Since then Raya has been key to the Gunners' strong defence and has played 105 times for the club. The shot-stopper was named in the PFA Team of the Year for the 2023/24 season as well as winning the Golden Glove.

Last campaign, Raya had to share his Golden Glove award with Matz Sels after both goalkeepers ended the season on 13 clean sheets.
