De Zerbi issues Tottenham update: Vicario out for Leeds, Solanke a doubt with eight injured | OneFootball

Tottenham will host Leeds United on Monday night in the Premier League, with eight players out, as Roberto De Zerbi confirmed Guglielmo Vicario remains sidelined and Dominic Solanke is a doubt.

Speaking on Thursday, in comments published by the club’s website, the head coach said Vicario is not ready after hernia surgery and remains unavailable. He has missed the last four matches and now joins Xavi Simons, Cristian Romero, Mohammed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert and Ben Davies on the list.

Solanke suffered a hamstring injury in last month’s win at Wolves. De Zerbi said the striker is improving quickly, but he does not know if he will feature against Leeds.

He added that Spurs hope the next game at Stamford Bridge might be more likely for Solanke’s return.

On Vicario, De Zerbi said he does not yet have a plan for a comeback and that the goalkeeper is suffering because he wants to help his team-mates.
