Roberto De Zerbi says Spurs’ clash with Everton on Sunday is bigger than last season’s Europa League final, and urged his players to play for their “pride and dignity”.
Tottenham’s defeat to Chelsea on Tuesday means De Zerbi’s side still need a point to guarantee their place in the Premier League, barring a 13-goal swing in goal difference with West Ham.

“Sunday is the final for Tottenham, not in Bilbao against Man United [last season], but this is the most important game,” De Zerbi said.
“We play for something more important than the trophy, the pride, the history of the club, the dignity, are more important than the trophy. The trophy you can win, but the most important thing is to keep the dignity, to keep the pride.
“I have lived the last 45 days just for one thing. Every one of the players, their focus is on the target. They are working harder during the week and every one of us want to achieve that goal.”
