Daniel Peretz has apparently made a lasting impression at Southampton in recent months. The goalkeeper, who is on loan from FC Bayern, has impressed with strong performances in England and can now even imagine staying with the Saints on a permanent basis. However, the Israeli apparently has a clear condition attached to his future
Daniel Peretz moved from Maccabi Tel Aviv to FC Bayern in the summer of 2023. The record champions saw the Israeli international goalkeeper as an exciting project for the future, but match practice was initially in short supply in Munich
Peretz was therefore loaned out to Hamburger SV at the start of the current season, but the keeper hardly got a chance there, which is why the loan was terminated in the winter
The 25-year-old then moved to Southampton FC in England, where he quickly developed into an important part of the team in the Championship
So far, the Bayern keeper has played 24 competitive matches for the Saints and has impressed with consistently good performances. Particularly noteworthy: Southampton even reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup with Peretz – a remarkable achievement for a second division club
The strong performances have obviously left an impression and, according to the English media, Peretz can now well imagine staying at Southampton on a permanent basis

As Sun reporter Jack Rosser reports, Southampton and FC Bayern have already agreed a purchase option, which is said to be worth around seven million pounds, the equivalent of around eight million euros
A permanent sale would certainly be of interest to FC Bayern, who are planning to offload several loan players in the summer in order to generate additional income and further streamline the squad
In the case of Daniel Peretz, however, a permanent transfer depends largely on Southampton’s sporting success. According to the report, the goalkeeper does not want to spend another year in the English second division. A permanent stay with the Saints is therefore only an option for him if Southampton achieve promotion to the Premier League
The club has already missed out on a direct return to the top flight and is now fighting for the last Premier League ticket via the play-offs
Middlesbrough FC await in the semi-finals, and should Southampton prevail there, the decisive final match against Hull City or Millwall would follow at Wembley Stadium
Should the promotion fail and Peretz return to Munich in the summer, his strong time in England should still have a positive effect on his future. The Bayern keeper’s performances at Southampton have certainly attracted new attention on the international market.
