Harry Souttar put Leicester City ahead in the 78th minute with a close-range header, and the tie with Millwall finished 1-1.
Meeting Luke Thomas's cross, Souttar glanced a header inside the bottom right from point-blank range (78.).
From there, the Foxes leaned on him as the Lions poured in deliveries, with 43 crosses launched. He commanded his box and attacked first contact to relieve pressure.
He finished with 14 clearances, seven aerials won and one interception, plus a perfect one shot, one goal return – a complete penalty-box performance.
Because the Foxes targeted his size on dead balls and sat compact, Souttar's positioning secured second balls and gave the Foxes a route upfield when they needed it most.
The Foxes visit Blackburn next in the Championship. The Lions host Oxford United.
