Breno Bidon settled the clássico in the 57th minute with a left-footed strike from outside the box, as Corinthians beat São Paulo 3-2. The midfielder's goal proved the difference after a breathless restart.
Early on, Bidon threaded a through ball that sent Yuri Alberto in, drawing a smart stop from Rafael (32.). The young Brazilian kept Timão on the front foot with neat combinations between the lines.
After the restart, he arrived at the edge and swept into the bottom left (57.), finishing Rodrigo Garro's pass to give Coringão daylight at a crucial moment.
Beyond the strike, Bidon won possession eight times and made three tackles, two won. He completed 27 of 32 passes, including 13 in the final third, which kept the Tricolor Paulista pinned in their half.
Deep in second half stoppage time, he drew a foul to slow the Soberano's late push and help Timão see it over the line.
Coringão host Barra in the Copa do Brasil next. The Tricolor Paulista visit Juventude in the same competition.
How high would you rate Bidon's performance tonight?
