Issa Soumaré settled the game in the 62nd minute with a right-footed finish to the bottom corner, as Le Havre won 2-0 at Lorient.
Running onto a through ball, the Le Havre midfielder burst through the centre and guided his shot into the bottom right (62.). The move came off a fast break, exploiting space behind the hosts' back line.
Soumaré kept stretching the defence afterwards, carrying threat in transition and drawing contact under pressure. His direct running repeatedly pushed Lorient back and eased Le Havre's defensive load.
He finished with three attempts, two on target, plus 14 possessions won and nine aerial duels won. A blend of incision and graft that underpinned the visitors' control.
Quick counters suited him throughout, with vertical service releasing his runs between centre-backs and wing-backs. That pattern left Lorient reacting and allowed Le Havre to manage territory on their terms once ahead.
Le Havre are 14th on 35 points, while Lorient sit ninth on 45.
