Ugurcan Cakir set the tone in the 19th minute with a reflex stop, underpinning Galatasaray's 3-1 victory at Göztepe.
He first kept the advantage intact by standing up to a right-footed effort from Arda Kurtulan, a firm save that steadied the visitors.
After the restart, he parried Amin Cherni's close-range header (56.). Minutes later he pushed away Efkan Bekiroglu's drive from distance (60.).
As Göztepe surged, he dived low to thwart Juan's header (74.). He then saved from Filip Krastev inside the area (83.), closing the door in the decisive spell.
He finished with five saves, four inside the box, plus 55 passes and 74 touches, showing control in and out of possession. With that distribution, the Aslan maintained 68.0% possession and played through pressure when required.
The display underlines his importance as the Aslan host Kocaelispor next. Göztepe welcome Kasımpaşa.
