Dennis Appiah set to return to Caen a decade on | OneFootball

Dennis Appiah is set to rejoin Stade Malherbe de Caen on a free, a decade after his first spell at the Ligue three club.

According to L'Équipe, the 34-year-old defender left AS Saint-Étienne at the end of his contract and is expected in Normandy to sign. He played 21 matches last season for Saint-Étienne, who will remain in Ligue two this season.

This would be his second stint at Caen. He first joined in 2013 on a three-year spell before moving to Anderlecht from 2016 to 2019.

A Monaco academy graduate, he made 114 appearances for Caen in that initial spell.

Caen are continuing an ambitious recruitment drive with the planned addition of Appiah.
