Derby County 2-2 Cardiff City at Pride Park Stadium, a first Championship point of the season for Derby while Cardiff City remain unbeaten with back-to-back draws.

Cian Ashford struck in the 19th minute, steering in from Ronan Kpakio's pass after a corner. Carlton Morris levelled for the hosts (26.), finishing Bobby Clark's cut-back.

Yousef Salech restored the visitors' lead from Rubin Colwill's break (39.). Before the interval, Nathan Trott and Jacob Zetterström made smart saves as the game opened up.

After the restart, Clark lashed in from the centre of the box (49.) to square it again. Cardiff City introduced David Turnbull and Christopher Willock (59.) and later lost Jack Moylan to injury as Joel Colwill came on (71.). Turnbull went close late on (88.).

Cardiff City had 63.8% possession and tallied 16 attempts. Derby registered 15 attempts with seven on target.

The result gives Derby their first point under way. Next, Derby host Swansea City in the Championship. Cardiff City face Norwich City in the EFL Cup before welcoming Sheffield United in the league.
