Désiré Doué puts PSG ahead against Liverpool in Champions League | OneFootball

PSG struck first against Liverpool, taking the lead in the 11th minute when Désiré Doué’s long-range shot deflected off Ryan Gravenberch and looped over goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.

As reported by L'Équipe, Ousmane Dembélé glided past several Liverpool players before releasing the ball to Doué on the right, around 20 metres from goal.

The former Rennes player pivoted and let fly with his right, with Liverpool’s defence slow to apply pressure.

His effort clipped the back of Gravenberch, the deflection altering the flight and lobbing Mamardashvili.

The early breakthrough handed the Parisians an ideal start to the first leg.
