An insight into the goals put in place by those behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona following the close of the transfer window has been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Marca, who point towards contract renewals as the new focus of Deco and co.

Specifically, the Blaugrana brass are working towards tying down two important members of Hansi Flick’s squad for the long-term.

The pair in question? Frenkie de Jong, and Eric García.

Negotiations regarding renewals for midfielder De Jong and defender Eric have been ongoing in Catalunya’s capital for some time now.

As much comes with Hansi Flick having made clear to those in the Camp Nou boardroom that he considers both as central to his plans moving forward.

With matters on the transfer front now taking a back seat for the time being, full focus will in turn be directed towards pushing definitive agreements with the two Barcelona stars over the line.
