DFB bosses and Julian Nagelsmann travel to Istanbul to support Freiburg | OneFootball

SC Freiburg are preparing for their first-ever European final as they face Aston Villa in Wednesday’s Europa League showdown. According to Kicker, there will be some surprise faces in the stands at Beşiktaş Stadium.

Led by the president, Bernd Neuendorf, DFB’s leadership will be in Istanbul to watch the game. The national team coach Julian Nagelsmann also traveled to give his support to the Bundesliga side.

Germany national team sporting director Rudi Völler, managing director Andreas Rettig, and general secretary Holger Blask are among the traveling party. Freiburg’s center-back Matthias Ginter has a chance to make Nagelsmann’s World Cup squad when the list is released on Thursday at the DFB campus in Frankfurt.
