La Liga giants Barcelona will reportedly have to break the bank to sign Inter Milan superstar Alessandro Bastoni in the summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri have named their asking price amid the Blaugrana’s growing interest.
Bastoni’s career is at a crossroads, with the 26-year-old facing an uncertain future at San Siro after several incidents at the start of the year.
Indeed, the highly rated center-back has come under fire after his antics in February’s Derby d’Italia clash against Juventus.
Moreover, the situation went from bad to worse during the international break, as his expulsion against Bosnia contributed to Italy’s FIFA World Cup exit.
Inter are reluctant to sell Alessandro Bastoni, but they will not stand in the player’s way if he asks for a transfer.
However, the Nerazzurri won’t let their long-serving star leave the club for less than €70 million.
According to Di Marzio, that figure is non-negotiable, even though Barcelona could try to drive the price down by including a counterpart in the deal.
Nevertheless, Inter won’t accept anything other than cash, knowing just how challenging it will be to replace Bastoni.
Meanwhile, Udinese’s Oumar Solet and Sassuolo’s Tarik Muharemovic are the leading candidates to fill the potential vacancy.
