Getafe head coach José Bordalás was left with a sour taste in his mouth on the back of his side’s meeting with Real Madrid on Sunday.

The tactician made as much crystal clear during his post-match exchange with the media.

Getafe were of course back in action yesterday evening, welcoming the in-form Real Madrid to the Estadio Coliseum for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done in a hard-fought affair, it was the latter who emerged triumphant, by a solitary goal.

Xabi Alonso’s visitors took full advantage of a pair of late red cards picked up by Getafe, to take their place at the top of the table.

As alluded to above, though, of the opinion that neither dismissal was in fact justified is none other than José Bordalás.

Speaking during his post-match press conference following the full-time whistle on Sunday, Bordalás made clear his take that Vinícius Jr’s play-acting proved decisive in the eyes of the officials:

“Both red cards were unfair. For Nyom, Vini exaggerated, holding his face, it was never a red. Maybe a yellow. For the Kiko one, it’s so unfair. He didn’t even touch him.”
