Serie A's Most Valuable Player of the 2025/26 season, Federico Dimarco, has shown exactly why he earned the award on Saturday.
During Inter's final league match against Bologna, the wing-back was offered a brilliant chance to open the scoring and did so in style.Â
Dimarco set up his free-kick perfectly as the ball was struck with his left foot and went up over the wall before nestling into the top right corner.Â
It means he now has seven goals in what's been a stunning campaign. Inter manager Chivu was left wide-eyed on the sidelines as he slow clapped in awe.
According to Opta, the defender "has been involved in the most goals in a single season in the Big-5 European leagues over the last 20 seasons (from 2006/07), surpassed by Alejandro Grimaldo in 2023/24 (23 - 10G+13A). Sublime.
Inter have since gone behind so might need some more magic from their main man before the season ends!
