October 2025 marked a turning point in the Ruben Amorim project.
For the first time in his Manchester United tenure, the Portuguese tactician guided his side to three consecutive wins.
It could have been four on the bounce had United seen off Nottingham Forest on the 1st of November, but that clash ended in a 2-2 draw.
Still, that result extended United’s unbeaten run to four matches, a streak many will hope they can build on.
One man who believes they can is Dimitar Berbatov.
Berbatov sees more in this United side than just a short-term surge.
“United now have, I think, three wins in a row, one draw, so they’re unbeaten in four games,” he noted in an interview with the Daily Star.
“So this is a good base to continue building on and not lose the next game, which is obviously against Spurs.
“Consistency is important to continue moving in an upward trajectory because they have everything they need to be up there with the best.”
After a standout summer transfer window, United’s squad is brimming with quality.
Expectations were always high, provided things clicked. And now, with four games unbeaten, it seems they finally have.
If Amorim and his players take Berbatov’s words to heart, they can use them as fuel to maintain the momentum.
As Amorim often reminds us, United have everything required to beat anyone.
A win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon in the capital would be the perfect response to Berbatov’s challenge.
It could set the Red Devils firmly on course to reclaim their place among Europe’s elite, bringing Champions League football back to Old Trafford, where it belongs.
