Djaló and Nico Serrano in Terzic’s squad, replacing Guruzeta and Selton | OneFootball

Edin Terzic has named a 23-man Athletic squad to face Elche at San Mamés on Saturday at 18:30, including Álvaro Djaló and Nico Serrano, as the hosts aim for a third straight league win.

According to El Correo, Serrano receives his first call-up of the season after staying put despite being close to the exit in the summer window.

Djaló also returns after missing the Atlético game. The pair take the places of injured Gorka Guruzeta and youngster Selton, who featured on Friday for Bilbao Athletic against Avilés.

As is his habit, Terzic waited late to confirm the list, wanting to verify player availability before finalising his options.

Athletic have beaten Celta and Atlético in their last two outings. Elche are still without a win and have only one point so far.
