28-year-old left back signs until 2030

FC Red Bull Salzburg have signed a reinforcement from Switzerland! 28-year-old experienced left-back Dominik Schmid joins from FC Basel. The Swiss player has signed a contract until 30 June 2030.

Dominik Schmid has already enjoyed a very extensive career in his home country. He has made 134 appearances for his boyhood club FC Basel (winning two league titles and one cup), and was also vice-captain there, played 107 matches for Grasshoppers, 40 games for FC Wil, and made 24 appearances for Lausanne-Sport - demonstrating a wealth of experience and consistency. The new signing, who will wear the number 31 jersey, is also known for his commitment and an attacking mindset.

With Dominik Schmid, we have brought in a player with a great deal of experience and footballing quality. We already got a first impression of him in the Europa League match against Basel last January, where he impressed with his attacking style while also demonstrating defensive stability.
