Done Deal: Halhal arrives for Venezia, €5m plus bonus agreement with KV Mechelen | OneFootball

Venezia have secured Morocco international defender Redouane Halhal from KV Mechelen for €5m plus add-ons, as he will have his medical on Saturday.

The centre-back has already arrived on Italian soil this evening and will complete the transfer, assuming all goes well in the tests, over the weekend.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the agreement is worth circa €5m plus add-ons.

Venezia lock down Halhal

Halhal turned 23 in March and is a central defender, but can also be used as a right-back or a left-back when required.

His contract with KV Mechelen was due to expire at the end of this season and he was eager for a new experience in a different league.

Born in France, he came up through the youth academy of his local team Montpellier, but came to Belgium in 2024.

There was a loan in the Netherlands with Helmond Sport before he truly flourished at KV Mechelen, last season making 34 competitive appearances, with one goal and two assists.

Halhal was in the 2026 World Cup squad with Morocco and started two matches.

Meanwhile, Venezia are also very close to sending Ahmed Sidibé to Guimaraes on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
