Reports in Italy suggest that Torino have an agreement in principle with Premier League side Chelsea over a deal for Italy U21 star Cesare Casadei after a long month of negotiations.
Both Torino and Lazio have been battling to sign Casadei for several weeks, as both clubs have been described as ‘leading the race’ for the former Inter youth player at various stages of the January transfer window.

According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, Torino now have an agreement in place with Chelsea to sign the 22-year-old on a permanent transfer.
According to Moretto’s latest update, Torino will pay a fee of €13m to sign him on a permanent transfer, while Chelsea will retain a 20% cut of any future sell-on fee.
Friday’s update claims that the final formalities of the deal are currently being ironed out, and that a medical will be booked in in the coming days.
Casadei is set to become Torino’s second addition of the January transfer window, following the arrival of former Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas from RB Leipzig on Thursday.
