Venezia have completed the signing of Akor Adams, with the Nigeria striker becoming comfortably the most expensive acquisition in the club’s history.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the former Sevilla forward arrived in the lagoon city and, after completing the customary medical, signed a four-year contract worth €1.5 million per season.

The fee is €17 million plus bonuses, a figure without precedent for a club that won promotion back to Serie A last season.

Stroppa welcomes Adams as Venezia eye defensive additions

A natural right-footer with an imposing physique and a keen eye for goal, the forward made his name in La Liga after joining Sevilla from Montpellier in January 2025, finishing last season with 10 goals and three assists across 36 appearances between starts and substitute outings.

Coach Giovanni Stroppa was pleased with the club’s business and made clear where he wants attention to turn next. “I confirm: he’s an important profile who will give us a big hand,” Stroppa said.

“Numerically, we have some gaps defensively, we’ll try to think about that. I’m not good at naming names; certainly the sporting director Antonelli also holds the wallet, so we’ll see what he manages to do. I’m very satisfied with the club’s work.”
