Defender signs for Vila Nova FC

Douglas Mendes Moreira is returning to Brazil on a permanent basis and has signed a contract with the second-division club Vila Nova FC.

The 22-year-old centre-back joined us in Salzburg on loan in early 2023 and was signed permanently during the following transfer window. Since then, he has made 18 appearances for FC Liefering (including as a co-operation player) and played one match for our Red Bulls, as well as making appearances for Red Bull Bragantino on loan.
