Ducksch strikes as Birmingham stay 13th

Birmingham beat Oxford United 2-0 at the Kassam Stadium to stay 13th in the Championship.
The visitors led in the 23rd minute via an own goal from Myles Peart-Harris.
James Beadle saved well from Cameron Brannagan and Stanley Mills late in the first half as Oxford United pushed for a leveller.
After the restart Ibrahim Osman struck the post, then Tomoki Iwata went off injured (65.). Moments later substitute Carlos Vicente set up Marvin Ducksch to sweep in the second (66.).
Ole Romenij twice forced Beadle into smart stops in the closing stages.
Oxford United mustered nine attempts, four on target. Birmingham registered 11 efforts and controlled long spells of possession.
