Duda Mineira returns to Brasileirão Feminino after more than four years | OneFootball

Duda Mineira made her first Campeonato Brasileiro Feminino appearance in more than four years as Corinthians beat Juventude 1-0 on Monday night.

The match was played at Estádio Montanha dos Vinhedos in round seven. According to Meu Timao, the 21-year-old started at centre-back as head coach Emily Lima turned to the academy product amid shortages in defence.

Mineira had debuted on 14 March 2022, a 1-1 draw with Atlético-MG, when Arthur Elias handed the then 16-year-old her bow. That remained her last league outing until Monday.

In total, she has seven senior appearances. Six came in the Campeonato Paulista, where the club often rotate the squad, and one in the Teal Rising Cup third-place game, an 8-0 win over América of Mexico in the United States in early April.

Promoted to the professional group at the start of 2025 under Lucas Piccinato, she was diagnosed with cartilage damage in her left knee after reporting pain, sidelining her for almost eight months.

Against Juventude, Corinthians were without Agustina Barroso, dealing with a recurrent contracture associated with scarring in the left soleus muscle, and Thaís Regina, recovering from a fracture of the fibula in her left ankle. Thaís Ferreira was on Brazil duty during the FIFA window, leaving Erika, Mineira and Letícia Teles as the remaining options.

Mineira now hopes to earn a run in the side. Corinthians face Ferroviária on Friday at 21:00 at the Fazendinha in round eight of the Brasileiro Feminino.
