Emmanuel Iyoha has joined 1.FC Magdeburg on a free transfer after Fortuna Düsseldorf's relegation to the German third division. This move takes the striker back to the 2. Bundesliga.

According to BuLi News, the 28-year-old, a former U-21 international, leaves the club where he developed into a professional, breaking into the first-team squad after various loans.

He arrives in Saxony-Anhalt with 203 second-division appearances to date.

Magdeburg have not disclosed the length of his contract.

Iyoha recorded one goal and one assist in 24 appearances last season.
