Dynamo Dresden have completed two significant summer moves, making Robert Wagner’s switch from SC Freiburg permanent and adding centre-back Ahmet Muhamedbegovic on a free. The club are strengthening as they prepare for life back in Germany’s second tier.
Wagner, 22, impressed on loan in the second half of last season, prompting the club to act. He arrives after recent years spent on a series of loans.
Sporting director Sören Gonther described him as a player “capable of making the difference in the centre of the pitch”. Wagner said he was delighted to extend his stay in Saxony.
Muhamedbegovic, 27, joins from Slovenian champions NK Olimpija Ljubljana and brings valuable international experience to Thomas Stamm’s squad.
The pair underline Dresden’s intent to add quality and depth ahead of the new campaign in the second tier.
