Manchester City embark on their third consecutive FA Cup Final on Saturday afternoon as they look to add major silverware to an otherwise underwhelming season.
After emerging triumphant at this stage of the competition back in 2023 en route to a historic Treble against Manchester United, the Old Trafford club earned revenge one year later in a repeat of the same fixture.
Now, Manchester City will have the added motivation of not only earning their trophy back from their city rivals, but also claiming one final piece of silverware for the outgoing club legend, Kevin De Bruyne.
Last time out was far from ideal preparation for Guardiola’s stars as they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw on the road in the Premier League, as an already-relegated Southampton side snatched two points from the top-five chasing club.
As for Crystal Palace, they are unbeaten since mid-April and have secured some impressive results along the way in the Premier League and Cup, including a 2-2 away draw at Arsenal, a 3-0 win over Aston Villa at the semi-final stage, and a 0-2 away win at Tottenham.
Pep Guardiola has just one star sidelined entirely at present as John Stones continues his recovery work from a long-standing injury problem, while Rodri and Oscar Bobb are unlikely to play any part in the game despite working alongside the first-team in training.
Ahead of the confirmed team news from Wembley Stadium this weekend, some initial information has began to filter throughout social media from journalists and sources regarding Manchester City’s starting line-up.
According to the information of the Manchester Evening News, Pep Guardiola has travelled to the capital alongside a 28-man contingent, albeit only able to name a 20-man matchday squad on his team-sheet for the cup final.
Manchester City’s travelling squad list
Goalkeepers: Ederson, Stefan Ortega Moreno, Scott Carson.

The first three starters have also now been revealed by reliable source ‘FPLMaineRoad’ on X, as it has been confirmed that all of Omar Marmoush, Erling Haaland, and Kevin De Bruyne make Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up.
Oliver Glasner and Pep Guardiola are expected to confirmed their respective Crystal Palace and Manchester City starting line-ups around 15:30 (UK) on Saturday afternoon.
