According to BuLi News, Younes Ebnoutalib could be named by both Germany and Morocco in the upcoming international break. Morocco still intends to select him for the start of AFCON qualifiers, and he is reportedly in Jürgen Klopp’s first Germany squad.
The Frankfurt-born striker hit a hat-trick for Eintracht Frankfurt on the opening weekend of the season. He has five goals and two assists from his first nine appearances for the Eagles after leaving Elversberg mid-season, when he was leading the 2. Bundesliga scoring chart.
Ebnoutalib has Moroccan roots and has previously played for Morocco at under-15 level.
The first international break begins after this weekend’s fixtures. Klopp will announce a 40-man squad for the UEFA Nations League on Thursday.
His international future therefore remains open ahead of potential call-ups from both federations.
