Eduardo Conceição trains with Palmeiras seniors during mid-season work | OneFootball

Palmeiras trained on Monday morning at the Academia de Futebol as their mid-season work continued, with academy prospect Eduardo Conceição joining the senior support group.

According to Globo.com, the highly rated youngster, who has attracted interest from City Football Group, was recently sanctioned by Conmebol and remains ineligible for the under-20s, so he worked with the professionals.

Vitor Roque followed his ankle surgery recovery plan and completed most of the session away from the main group. He briefly joined an early warm-up with Paulinho.

Absent were Abel Ferreira, Marlon Freitas, Giay and those called up. The session opened with short sprints for the warm-up, then drills on possession, passing and marking, while goalkeepers worked separately on position-specific tasks.

Late on, players split into two teams of 11 and trained using three goals. The squad and staff then had lunch at the training centre before being released.

Palmeiras return to action on 23 July at 21:30 against Coritiba. Abel Ferreira’s side will defend their advantage at the top of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
