Egypt U20 gears up for the U20 World Cup

The Egyptian U20 national team is set to begin preparations for the World Cup in this age category, scheduled to take place in Chile.

The young Pharaohs will hold a training camp from July 3 to 31 at the Egyptian National Teams Center in 6th of October City. This is a crucial stage before things get serious.

Two friendly matches are scheduled during this camp against the Kuwaiti Olympic team on July 17 and 20. Osama Nabih has already announced his squad list, which is mainly composed of players who helped the team reach the semi-finals of the 2025 AFCON.

Despite a 1-0 defeat to Morocco in the semi-finals and finishing fourth in the tournament following a loss to Nigeria in the third-place playoff (1-1, 4-1 on penalties), Egypt has secured its ticket to the World Cup in Chile.

During the final tournament, which will take place from September 27 to October 19, Egypt will compete in Group A alongside hosts Chile, as well as New Zealand and Japan.
