Eintracht Frankfurt are closely monitoring Niclas Füllkrug’s situation, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The striker is on their shortlist for signings and is a concrete candidate should Omar Marmoush move to Manchester City.
Marmoush has reached a full verbal agreement with Manchester City and the Egyptian wants the move immediately with the first offer being expected to arrive by this weekend.
Other potential winter candidates to replace Marmoush include Mainz’s Jonathan Burkardt, Rennes forward Arnaud Kalimuendo, and another unnamed striker.
The 31-year-old will also remain on Frankfurt’s radar for the summer if a deal is unable to be completed this month.
Füllkrug moved to West Ham United from Borussia Dortmund in the summer for a fee of €27 million but has struggled with injury so far this season, having made just ten appearances in all competitions and scoring two goals.
West Ham have also recently appointed Graham Potter as their new manager today, who took his first training session with the team this morning.
