Eintracht Frankfurt have signed Raphael Onyedika from Belgian champions Club Brugge after weeks of negotiations, strengthening their midfield ahead of the 2026/27 season. The 25-year-old Nigerian international joins on a long-term contract.

According to BuLi News, the transfer package is worth up to €21 million, placing him alongside Jonathan Burkardt and Ritsu Doan as joint fourth on Frankfurt’s most expensive list.

Frankfurt had targeted Onyedika for the holding role because of his physical presence, ball-winning skills and Champions League experience. He becomes the club’s new midfield anchor.

Onyedika made 183 appearances for Brugge, winning two Belgian league titles, the Belgian Cup and the Super Cup during a four-year spell.

The Eagles saw off interest from several clubs, including in Saudi Arabia, to secure his signature. His arrival is expected to give head coach Adi Hütter a commanding presence in midfield as Frankfurt aim to return to European competition after missing out last season.
