Eirik Granaas marked his first professional goal on seven April, then celebrated among Fredrikstad’s travelling supporters after an away win in a special match.

O Jogo notes the midfielder was signed by FC Porto at 16 and had already made his professional debut at 15.

Introduced on 85 minutes, he needed only three minutes to glance in a header that secured a 3-2 victory at Aalesund.

The fixture was played in a stadium eight hours from the team’s base.

After the final whistle, players and the devoted fans who made the trip posed for a family-style photo, with Granaas almost hidden in the stand.

It capped a short but rich early story for a player often seen as ahead of his time.
