Ekitike a doubt for Chelsea game with Alisson ruled out | OneFootball

Liverpool could be without both Alisson Becker and Hugo Ekitike when they travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Alisson Becker had to be replaced by Giorgi Mamardashvili early in the second half after picking up an injury saving a Victor Osimhen shot.

'It's never positive if you go off like this. You can be sure he is not playing Saturday,' manager Arne Slot said after the game.

Hugo Ekitike also had to be withdrawn in the defeat to Galatasaray with the Liverpool boss telling the press: "He felt something when he had to reach for the ball.

"After the game, that's always the difficult thing with these moments when players feel like it is not too bad, but when you just walk around it is something different than when you make a sprint or have to shoot on target."

The Reds are looking to avoid a third consecutive defeat in all competitions at the weekend after a winning start to the 2025/26 campaign.
