Tonight Roma defeated Midtjylland 2-1, securing their first home win in Europe. The Giallorossi now have nine points in the standings, putting them back in contention for a top-eight spot.
El Aynaoui broke the deadlock, scoring his first goal for Roma.
After the match, the Moroccan spoke to Sky Sport, expressing his satisfaction with the goal and the team’s performance.
Regarding the match, El Aynaoui commented on the difficulty of the match: “It was a tough match, a game of pressing against pressing. We had some difficulties, but we managed to score quite early. Afterwards, we suffered a slight drop in form, but we’ll work to correct our mistakes.”
The midfielder then spoke about the emotion of his first goal for Roma, a truly special moment for him.
“It’s like a dream, I’ve been waiting for it for a long time. Scoring at home, in front of the fans, is even more beautiful than I imagined.”
El Aynaoui then spoke about the upcoming match against Conte’s Napoli.
“We’ll prepare as best we can, as we did for today’s match. We have a few days to prepare for the game, and we’ll give it our all. It will be an important match, and we want to be ready.”
The Giallorossi arrive at the big match against Napoli full of confidence after a string of victories in both the league and the cup. Koné’s condition will be assessed against the Azzurri. If the Frenchman is unable to play, El Aynaoui will replace him.
