Newcastle United will entertain Wolverhampton Wanderers at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon as they hope to secure a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Magpies were held to a scoreless draw away at Leeds United recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways in the league this weekend.
Eddie Howe will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first XI for this game. Anthony Elanga, Harvey Barnes and Yoane Wissa could all play from the start of this contest.
Nick Pope will feature in goal for the Magpies after keeping a clean sheet in his last league outing. Dan Burn will operate alongside Fabian Schar at the centre of Howe’s defence as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Kieran Trippier will fill in as the right-back, while Tino Livramento will be a nailed-on starter on the other side as the left-back. Both of them need to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Sven Botman will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Lewis Miley, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes will make up Newcastle‘s midfield. All three of them need to be at their best if the Magpies are to come out on top this weekend.
Joe Willock will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if needed. However, Jacob Ramsey is a major doubt for this game due to an ankle problem.
Harvey Barnes will try to catch the eye on the left flank, while Anthony Elanga hopes to give a good account of himself as the right-sided wide player.
Yoane Wissa will probably get the nod to lead the line for the Magpies up top. He would be eager to impress on his Newcastle debut this Saturday.
Nick Woltemade will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if the Tyneside club are in need of a goal by then.
