Eliezer Mayenda not in FC Porto plans despite transfer links | OneFootball

O Jogo understands that FC Porto are not pursuing Sunderland forward Eliezer Mayenda, despite reports on Monday that talks between the clubs were close. The player is not on Porto’s radar and does not feature in their plans.

The 21-year-old is a Spain youth international and also holds French nationality. He made 23 appearances last season, scoring two and providing one assist, and added a further outing for Sunderland’s under-21s.

Mayenda completed his development at Sochaux, where he stepped up to senior football, before moving to England in 2023.

He had a brief loan at Hibernian in Scotland, and across the past two seasons has been involved with Sunderland’s first team.

Transfermarkt values him at 16 million euros and his contract runs until June 2030.
