Elliot Anderson latest as Man City ‘to submit’ second bid after Forest rejection | OneFootball

Manchester City are preparing a second offer for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson after an initial approach was turned down, with Forest valuing him at more than £100 million.

According to Fabrizio Romano, City plan to send a new official bid soon and are confident of completing a deal, with Manchester United still interested but behind.

City would like to wrap up any move before the World Cup. Anderson, 23, is in England’s squad and considered integral by Thomas Tuchel, with the Three Lions opening against Croatia on June 17.

Head coach Vitor Pereira wants to keep Anderson, who is under contract until 2029, but accepts the market cannot be predicted. He has also stressed that any major departure must be replaced and prefers to get business done early.

Forest know a strong tournament could increase the player’s value. The summer window opens on June 15 and Premier League clubs have until 11pm on September one to complete deals.
