Chelsea signed Emanuel Emegha, and Strasbourg’s president, Marc Keller, revealed that he ‘refused a dozen offers’ before choosing a move to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are preparing for the exit of Nicolas Jackson, signing Emegha as a replacement, but the move to West London has not gone down well with Strasbourg fans.

Emegha is reportedly set to join Chelsea next year, but he remains on loan with Strasbourg, and the ultras are not fans of the deal.

The Strasbourg ultras held up banners against the newly-instated captain and booed him when presented with his Ligue 1 Player of the Month award for August.

Strasbourg manager Liam Rosenior and Keller have since publicly supported Emegha following the ordeal.

Keller also revealed that Emegha rejected multiple offers before signing on the dotted line for Chelsea.

It also ties with what Fabrizio Romano said on the Here We Go podcast that Aston Villa, Bayern Munich, and Juventus had shown interest in the 22-year-old centre-forward.

Emegha was considered one of the finest young strikers in Ligue 1 last season.

He finished with 14 goals in 27 appearances and helped Strasbourg secure an impressive seventh-place finish on the Ligue 1 log.

That return underlines why Chelsea were so keen to act early.

The future Chelsea ace has started this season brightly, scoring three goals in four games, including a brace against Brøndby IF in the Europa Conference League qualifiers.
