Emiliano Bigica is the new head coach of Inter Primavera | OneFootball

Born in Bari on 4 September 1973, Bigica has dedicated his life to football: first as a player, coming through the youth ranks of his hometown club. At Bari, aged just 20, he captained the team to Serie A promotion, and the following year he lifted the UEFA European Under-21 Championship trophy with the Italian national team while wearing the captain's armband. His leadership then took him to Florence, where he won a Coppa Italia and a Supercoppa Italiana, before continuing his career with Napoli, Salernitana, Nocerina, Potenza, and Novara, where he retired in 2007.

From then on, a second chapter began: a career in coaching. After his first experiences in youth football and amateur football, Bigica was appointed coach of Empoli's Allievi Nazionali team, the first step in his journey through youth coaching that later brought him to the Fiorentina touchline in the summer of 2017. His most recent experience came at Sassuolo, where he took charge in August 2020. During his six seasons leading the Neroverdi youth side, Bigica won a Primavera Scudetto and the 2024 Primavera Super Cup.
