Aston Villa have placed Emiliano Martínez on the market for a relatively low fee, presenting a possible opening for Flamengo.
Sky Sports Italia reports that Villa want €5 million for the 33-year-old Argentina goalkeeper, a price attracting leading European clubs.
Martínez is seeking an annual salary of €7 million at his next club.
Juventus and Tottenham are described as the two most interested sides at this stage.
He has been called up by Argentina for another World Cup and was decisive in their 2022 triumph in Qatar.
Flamengo remain alert to the market after recent errors by Agustín Rossi led to goals and criticism from supporters.
The club have three goalkeepers, with Rossi first choice, Andrew signed at the start of the year as back-up, and Léo Nannetti the third option after training with Brazil during the World Cup.
