Real Madrid striker Endrick is set to join Ligue 1 giants Olympique Lyon in January.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the 19-year-old forward is poised to join the French club on loan, and an agreement with Madrid is all but complete.

His career has stalled at Madrid since his big-money move from Palmeiras in 2024.

The Brazilian wonderkid was once considered the finest talent to come out of Brazil, but he has failed to establish himself at Madrid despite showing flashes of his potential.

Endrick seemed to be forcing his way into the first team under Carlo Ancelotti last season, but his exit derailed his progress.

With Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham already established starters, Endrick has struggled for opportunities.

He made his first appearance for Madrid this season in the 4-0 win against Valencia, but he only got 11 minutes of football.

Despite his struggles, Endrick remains one of the most exciting prospects in Europe. Several clubs across the continent are looking to extend an olive branch in January.

He has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Chelsea keeping an eye on his situation.

However, Lyon have won the race, although Madrid have negotiated a special clause in his imminent move to France.

Lyon will be required to play Endrick in at least 25 matches, including the Europa League and the Coupe de France. If they fail to meet these requirements, they would be forced to pay a penalty.

Madrid have agreed to cover part of his salary during the loan, and Endrick has given his green light for the move to proceed.
