England boss Tuchel reveals injury worry for Man City defender | OneFootball

Thomas Tuchel has revealed that John Stones has left the England camp because of injury concerns.

The Manchester City defender was called up to the squad for the games against Andorra and Serbia, but will now no longer play a part in either clash.

“Unfortunately, John Stones [has] just left,” said Tuchel.

“He came with minor muscle issues to camp and didn’t progress the way we thought and hoped he would so he left camp this morning because we will not take the risk against Andorra and also unfortunately against Serbia.”

The 31-year-old has endured his fair share of injury problems over the past couple of years.

He made just 11 Premier League appearances last season but had returned to fitness this campaign, playing in each of City’s three league games so far.
